Chip and Joanna Gaines sell Waco castle
Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of the television series ‘Fixer Upper’, have found a buyer for Cottonland Castle in Waco, Texas. The sale of the 136-year-old property is currently pending.
The 6,176-square-foot castle is located in the historic Castle Heights neighborhood and features a sandstone and limestone facade modeled after a German castle along the Rhine River. The Gaineses purchased the property in 2019 for $425,000 and listed it for nearly $2.7 million.
Over several years, the couple restored the residence, a project that served as the basis for their 2022 series ‘Fixer Upper: Welcome Home – The Castle’. The property includes four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, seven ornate fireplaces, and various specialized rooms such as a library and a conservatory. The sale includes all curated furnishings and decor.
