Chirag Paswan inaugurates PMFME Conclave 2026 in New Delhi

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has launched the PMFME Conclave 2026 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Inaugurated by Minister Chirag Paswan, the two-day event brings together more than 500 stakeholders to discuss strengthening the micro food processing ecosystem and improving access to technology, finance, and markets.

A central feature of the event is the PMFME Bazaar, which showcases products from 25 States and Union Territories. The exhibition highlights traditional and ethnic food items, including millet-based products, spices, pickles, snacks, and beverages. The initiative aims to support micro food processing enterprises, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), and cooperatives by helping them transition from local production to broader commercial sustainability through improved branding, packaging, and quality.

The Conclave and Bazaar serve as a platform for grassroots entrepreneurs to gain visibility in modern retail, digital commerce, institutional procurement, and export markets.
