Chirag Paswan receives death threat via anonymous letter

Union Minister for Food Processing Industries and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan has received a death threat via an unsigned letter sent by post. The communication, which included two mobile numbers, contained the message: ‘You will be killed shortly by hardcore terrorists’.

Paswan’s office has formally notified the Union Home Ministry and Home Secretary, seeking an urgent investigation into the origin and authenticity of the threat. The minister, who currently holds Z-category security, has requested a thorough review and potential augmentation of his security arrangements due to the direct nature of the threat and the mention of ‘hardcore terrorists’.

Security agencies, including the CRPF and the Bihar government, have been alerted. Investigations are underway to identify the sender and trace the source of the postal communication.
