Chiriquí authorities investigate missing person and sexual assault suspect
Authorities in Chiriquí, Panama, are investigating two separate criminal matters. The Procuraduría General de la Nación has issued an appeal for public assistance to locate 32-year-old Diana Sánchez Guerrero, who has been missing since August 26, 2026, from the Barú district. She is described as an indigenous woman of medium height with a thick build and straight shoulder-length hair.
In a separate incident, judicial investigators arrested a 68-year-old man in Dolega, Chiriquí. He is accused of using digital platforms to post fraudulent job offers to lure women to his residence, where he allegedly committed sexual assaults. The suspect faces more than five complaints filed in the provinces of Panama and Chiriquí.
