Chisco Group CEO Chidi Anyaegbu endows ₦1 billion to COOU

Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, founder and CEO of Chisco Group, has donated an endowment of at least ₦1 billion to the Department of Transport Management at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU). The funds are designated for the construction of a new departmental building and the Chidi Anyaegbu Multipurpose Auditorium.

The initiative follows the department's recent accreditation by the National Universities Commission. To mark the commencement of these projects, the university will host the inaugural Chidi Anyaegbu Annual Lecture series. The maiden lecture is scheduled to be delivered by the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, focusing on the integration of indigenous business knowledge with modern investment strategies.

University Vice-Chancellor Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha noted that the collaboration between Chisco Group and COOU represents a unification of theory and practice. The endowment aligns with the Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) development model promoted by Anambra State Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
