Chisinau hosts first National Museum of Romanian Literature awards
The National Museum of Romanian Literature held the first edition of its literary awards in Chisinau, celebrating contemporary works from both sides of the Prut River.
From an initial pool of 41 volumes, a jury selected 16 titles for the final stage, ultimately naming six authors as winners. The awards recognized excellence in three distinct categories: poetry, prose, and non-fiction.
Among the laureates were Virgil Botnaru, Aliona Grati, and Oxana Gherman. Grati received recognition for ‘Arca lui Goma. Biografia unui scriitor’, a work noted for elevating the literary status of the village of Mana.
