Chisinau to host National Wine Day and autumn fairs in October 2026

Moldova will celebrate National Wine Day on October 3 and 4, 2026, in Chisinau’s Great National Assembly Square. The event, organized by Wine of Moldova, will feature wine tastings, masterclasses, and musical performances from various national ensembles and artists, including Zdob și Zdub.

A highlight of the celebration is a scheduled attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest human image of a grapevine. Visitors can purchase a tasting booklet for 300 lei, which includes multiple wine tastings over the two-day period.

In addition to the wine festival, Chisinau will host several other thematic fairs throughout October 2026. These include folk craftsman markets, eco-product and apiculture fairs, and the Mami & Co Fair. The month will also feature celebrations for the Patron Saint Day of Chisinau, including a gastronomic fair and local producer markets.
