Chiswick: Thief caught on camera stealing nurse's electric bike

A thief stole a navy Momentum electric bike, valued at over £1,000, from outside a Co-op near Chiswick station in West London. The victim, disability nurse Kelly Regan, attempted to chase the suspect but lost her footwear and suffered blisters from the hot pavement during the pursuit.

A father and son witnessed the theft and pursued the suspect in their car, filming the incident. The footage shows the thief, described as approximately 6ft 2in with an athletic build, attempting to shield his face while cycling away in flip-flops. The suspect reportedly smiled at the victim during the theft.

While the Co-op confirmed it possesses high-quality CCTV footage of the suspect's face, the Metropolitan Police have been notified. A spokesperson for the Met stated that officers have since received the CCTV from the shop.
