India reports multiple fatalities in bus crash, student deaths, and murder investigations

Multiple tragic incidents have been reported across India. In Chitradurga, Karnataka, a private tourist bus carrying 49 nursing students from Universal College in Bengaluru overturned into a trench near Aimangala. The accident, occurring during a return trip from an educational excursion to Goa, resulted in the deaths of three students and two staff members (a driver and a cleaner), while 20 others sustained injuries.

In Delhi, several separate deaths have prompted investigations. A 19-year-old BSc nursing student was found dead in her hostel room in Rajinder Nagar, and a 31-year-old MSc physics student allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the sixth floor of a building at the IIT Delhi campus. Additionally, a 26-year-old Indian Army jawan was found dead in a hotel in southwest Delhi; police recovered a suicide note that contained no allegations against others.

In legal news, the Delhi High Court denied bail to a man accused of the 2019 murder and dismemberment of his wife. Regarding criminal investigations in Uttar Pradesh, the acid-burnt body of a 24-year-old man was discovered in Amethi. His sister has alleged murder, and police are awaiting post-mortem results to determine the cause of death.
