Chittorgarh police bust illegal firecracker factory

Police in the Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan have dismantled an illegal firecracker manufacturing operation located in a house built on farmland. A joint operation by the District Special Team (DST) and the Dungla police station led to the seizure of approximately 15 quintals of gunpowder, along with various finished firecrackers and manufacturing equipment.

During the raid on the property located on the road from Kasarna village to Gurjania, authorities recovered several sacks of sutli bombs, tube crackers, and raw materials including yellow powder, fuses, and packing wrappers. The seizure included 14 sacks filled with gunpowder, 9 sacks of finished tube crackers, and 3 sacks of sutli bombs, among other items.

Nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the operation, and two minors have been detained. Police have also named a primary mastermind and handler in the case. The investigation is ongoing following the discovery of the unlicensed facility.
