Chivas becomes most valuable club in Liga MX and CONCACAF

According to the Transfermarkt database, Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Chivas) has a squad valuation of US$126.3 million, making it the highest‑valued team in Mexico’s Liga MX and the entire CONCACAF region. The rise follows the recent acquisitions of Jordan Carrillo and Kevin Castañeda, which boosted the roster’s market worth.

The new ranking places Chivas ahead of traditional powerhouses such as América (US$101.35 million), Toluca, Cruz Azul and Tigres. Individual player valuations also increased, with midfielder Armando González (“La Hormiga”) listed as the league’s most valuable player at US$17.6 million. Coach Gabriel Milito now faces pressure to translate the financial advantage into on‑field success as the team begins the Apertura 2026 tournament, after being eliminated by Cruz Azul in the previous season’s semifinals.
