Chivas Impulsora and América Buenavista match ends in brawl
A high-stakes amateur football match between Chivas Impulsora and América Buenavista, known as the ‘Clásico de la Talacha’, ended in a mass brawl at the Agustín ‘Coruco’ Díaz Stadium in Zacatepec. The match, titled ‘La Gran Revancha’, featured a prize of one million pesos for the winner.
Chivas Impulsora held a 3-1 lead when tensions escalated during the final minutes. Following a third expulsion for the América Buenavista side, players, bench staff, and spectators became involved in a physical confrontation. The chaos led to fans invading the pitch, with reports of an intruder striking a Chivas player.
World Cup referee César Ramos was forced to terminate the match early due to the violence. Ramos and his officiating crew required security escorts to reach the locker rooms while facing insults and being pelted with liquids from the stands. Despite the disruption, Chivas Impulsora was declared the winner of the match and the million-peso prize.
