Chivas unveils new 2026-27 jersey inspired by charrería tradition

Club Deportivo Guadalajara, known as Chivas, has released its new jersey for the 2026-27 season in collaboration with Nike. The design integrates Mexican cultural heritage with modern athletic engineering, specifically drawing inspiration from the universe of charrería.

The kit features a black base with gold accents, utilizing lines reminiscent of traditional charro attire. A key design element is an intricate graphic pattern on the chest that evokes 'piteado', a traditional Mexican artisanal technique involving embroidery with agave fibers on leather. The jersey also incorporates historical branding, including the 1908 monogram and the interlaced 'C' and 'G' initials, alongside customized typography.
