Chivilcoy officials meet to discuss economic and security issues
Guillermo Britos, the mayor of Chivilcoy, held meetings in the city to discuss regional economic challenges and legislative projects.
Fernando Espinoza, president of the Argentine Federation of Municipalities (FAM) and mayor of La Matanza, visited Chivilcoy to discuss local issues with Britos. Espinoza emphasized the need to build bridges with the agricultural, livestock, industrial, and commercial sectors. Britos noted that the local economy is facing difficulties, with some businesses closing and others struggling to cover costs.
Additionally, Britos met with deputies from the Nuevos Aires bloc to discuss security and gender policies. The meeting included discussions on violence prevention against women and the use of municipal resources such as dual ankle monitors and shelters. Legislators also toured the Multi-agency Monitoring Center and 911 system to review video surveillance and emergency vehicle tracking capabilities.
