ChKS Chełm signs Olympic champion Yacine Louati
ChKS Chełm has significantly bolstered its roster for the 2026/2027 Tauron Liga season with several high-profile signings. The club confirmed the acquisition of Yacine Louati, a two-time Olympic gold medalist with the French national team. Louati, a 34-year-old outside hitter, previously played in the Polish league for Jastrzębski Węgiel and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
In addition to Louati, the club has signed Maciej Muzaj, a 32-year-old opposite who previously played in Japan and Saudi Arabia and has represented Poland. Other recent additions to the squad include Japanese setter Yuki Imahashi, middle blocker Cezary Sapiński, and U19 world champion Tytus Nowik.
Under the leadership of coach Krzysztof Andrzejewski, the team aims to build on its successful debut season in the league, where it secured its position by finishing 13th in the regular phase. The club has also extended contracts for several players, including Jay Blankenau and Amirhossein Esfandiar.
