Chloe Louise Smith convicted of trespassing at Bunnings in Orange, Australia
Chloe Louise Smith, 36, of Eglinton, New South Wales, was convicted of trespassing after entering a Bunnings Warehouse in Orange despite a formal ban. The ban, issued on 30 August 2024, prohibited her from all Bunnings stores and warned that any breach would be reported to police.
On 27 April 2026 she was captured on CCTV re‑entering the Leeds Parade store to seek a refund for two tapware items worth $794, but she could not produce a receipt and was denied the refund. Judge Kirk Dailly sentenced her for the trespass offence, noting her prior larceny convictions, and ordered no further action beyond the conviction.
Solicitor Matthew Tedeschi said Smith was unaware that the ban applied to all Bunnings locations, not just the Villawood store.
