Cho Min's Lotte Home Shopping broadcast canceled 90 minutes before airtime

Cho Min, daughter of Jo Kuk Innovation Party leader Jo Kuk and CEO of the e-commerce company Sajeokpyosi, revealed that Lotte Home Shopping canceled her scheduled live commerce broadcast just 90 minutes before it was set to begin.

According to Cho, the company provided the reason for the sudden cancellation as concerns regarding “potential internal and external controversies.” While Cho initially attributed the cancellation to “company circumstances,” she later clarified the specific reasoning on social media following numerous inquiries.

Despite the cancellation, Cho proceeded with an alternative broadcast through her own live commerce channel. To compensate consumers for the confusion caused by the sudden schedule change, she offered free shipping on orders over 50,000 won. Cho has recently been expanding her business activities in the beauty and distribution sectors following the launch of her skincare brand, Serolabs.
