Choi Hwa Jung reports 95.75% loss in stock market investments

South Korean actress and announcer Choi Hwa Jung has revealed significant financial and emotional distress following massive losses in the stock market. Previously known in the entertainment industry as a ‘stock millionaire,’ Choi disclosed that her investments in a company facing potential delisting have plummeted in value.

During a video discussion with Hong Jin Kyung, Choi noted that the value of their shared holdings dropped by 94.87%, eventually reaching a loss of 95.75%. Choi attributed the situation to her tendency to hold onto stocks for long periods, noting that she only sold small portions during price increases to cover tax obligations. She described the experience as a mental struggle, stating, ‘Life is indeed a comedy when viewed from afar, but a tragedy when viewed up close.’
