Choi Kang-hee reveals modest lifestyle and history of philanthropy

South Korean actress Choi Kang-hee has revealed her modest lifestyle on the MBC variety show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’. During the broadcast, it was disclosed that she has been living at a close friend's house since the spring and plans to remain there until December.

Choi shared that her friend's mother, who lives nearby, provides her with daily meals, including dishes like boiled pork and beef radish soup, which Choi described as a form of ‘room service’. This lifestyle has drawn attention alongside her history of significant philanthropy. Choi previously donated approximately 500 million won and has consistently supported various causes, including donating essay proceeds, participating in bone marrow donation, and joining charity runs to provide clean water for children in Africa.

After a five-year hiatus from acting, Choi is preparing for her return to the stage in the play ‘Closer’. She expressed the pressure she felt during her previous acting period and is currently using her time at her friend's residence to practice her lines for the upcoming production.
