Choi Min-hee Blames Ilbe Culture for Party Leadership Strife

Democratic Party lawmaker Choi Min-hee accused the party of being infiltrated by the online community Ilbe, saying it fuels a "one versus many" dynamic aimed at sidelining candidate Jeong Cheong‑rae. She called for the removal of Ilbe‑style mockery and urged a reform of the party’s leadership.

Party member Moon Jin‑seok rebutted her claim, arguing that dissent and criticism are not equivalent to Ilbe culture and urging the party to listen to members’ concerns. In a separate interview, Choi said she was labeled “anti‑name” for not criticizing writer Yoo Si‑min, describing him as a “true gentleman” and emphasizing the need for clear legal definitions of power within the party.
