Choluteca authorities and transport operators sign 45-day agreement

Authorities and transport operators in Choluteca, Honduras, have signed a 45-day agreement to resolve a recent blockade on the CA-3 highway. The pact, reached between the private sector, transport workers, the local municipality, and vendors at the Great Terminal, allows interurban service operators to re-enter the city.

Under the terms of the temporary agreement, all routes will have access to Choluteca and may operate from the Great Terminal to the municipal market. The agreement aims to restore economic activity in the area, though officials noted that the pact will be voided if any reprisals occur, which would lead to further street protests.
