Chon Buri woman detained after hit-and-run spree

A 35-year-old woman was detained in Chon Buri after a series of collisions involving a white Honda Accord on the night of September 19. The incident began around 10:10 p.m. in the Bang Lamung district when the vehicle, reportedly traveling at high speed and swerving, struck a motorcycle with a sidecar parked outside a grocery store.

The impact sent the sidecar crashing into the shop, causing significant damage to the store and a nearby cannabis shop. Rather than stopping, the driver fled the scene. During a pursuit by local residents that lasted over three kilometers, the vehicle struck another motorcyclist, leaving the rider seriously injured and requiring hospitalization.

Residents eventually managed to stop the vehicle near Soi Thung Klom-Tan Man 14. Police arrived to find the driver, identified as Nittaya, appearing intoxicated. An open beer bottle was discovered inside the car. Nong Prue Police are currently conducting alcohol tests and proceeding with legal action.
