Chong Kun Dang cream selected as recommended pharmacy item for tourists
Chong Kun Dang announced that its Dermagram PDRN Cream, an over-the-counter medication for skin disease treatment, has been featured as a recommended pharmacy shopping item for foreign tourists on the Korea Tourism Organization’s official multilingual portal, VISITKOREA.
The cream utilizes PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide), a salmon-derived ingredient structurally similar to human DNA, to aid in skin regeneration and provide nutrients to areas prone to wounds and ulcers caused by nutritional deficiencies in skin and connective tissue. The product uses a patented purification process to achieve a high-purity, low-molecular form for enhanced absorption.
The selection follows a trend where international visitors to South Korea are expanding their shopping interests from traditional drugstores and duty-free shops to local pharmacies, driven by social media and travel communities. The Korea Tourism Organization highlighted “Pharmacy Skincare Shopping” as a new travel trend, noting increased interest in skin barrier care and derma skincare among foreign travelers.
