Chongqing advances international tech and China-Singapore cooperation

Chongqing is advancing high-level technological opening and international cooperation through several strategic initiatives. The 20th Chongqing International Economic Advisory Council meeting, themed ‘Connecting Global Innovation Resources, Deepening Technological Opening and Cooperation,’ aims to leverage global resources to support the city’s high-quality development and its upcoming ‘15th Five-Year Plan.’ The council involves major international corporations such as SK, HP, Corning, and Schneider to provide expertise in smart manufacturing, digital technology, and high-end equipment.

Simultaneously, the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Strategic Connectivity Demonstration Project held its 11th joint implementation committee meeting. This session resulted in the signing of 15 new government and commercial cooperation projects spanning finance, logistics, information technology, and healthcare. Key developments include the creation of an international digital trade platform and AI-driven battery management solutions for heavy trucks in Singapore. Additionally, new logistics projects aim to stabilize cross-border e-commerce freight, while professional service groups are working to help Chongqing-based brands enter the Singaporean market.
