Chongqing Ballet Theatre employs Italian ballerina Giorgia Raineri
Giorgia Raineri, a 23-year-old Italian ballerina from Rimini, has spent the last two and a half years living and performing in Chongqing, China. After graduating from a dance school in Italy, she accepted a professional opportunity with the Chongqing Ballet Theatre.
Raineri performs in the production ‘Scarpette rosse’, which tells the story of Dai Ailian, a renowned Chinese overseas artist known as the ‘mother of Chinese dance’. Her work involves touring throughout China.
Regarding her life in Chongqing, Raineri noted the city's unique multi-level geography along the Yangtze River and its high level of safety and convenience. While she identified the language barrier as a primary challenge, she has made significant progress in learning Chinese to communicate with colleagues during rehearsals and meetings.
