Chop Robinson ruled out for Dolphins vs. 49ers due to concussion

Miami Dolphins edge rusher Chop Robinson has been ruled out for the team’s Week 2 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers due to a concussion. Head coach Jeff Hafley confirmed the decision after Robinson was unable to participate in Thursday’s practice.

Robinson entered the NFL’s concussion protocol earlier in the week after being listed as a limited participant on Wednesday. His absence is a significant blow to the Dolphins' defense, as he is considered a primary source of pass-rush pressure. In the season opener against the Las Vegas Raiders, Robinson recorded one assisted tackle and two of the team’s four quarterback pressures.

To fill the void, Miami may rely on Josh Uche, Robert Beal Jr., or Malik Herring, with the possibility of elevating Clelin Ferrell from the practice squad. Other injuries on the Dolphins' report include linebacker Ronnie Harrison Jr. (hamstring), long-snapper Tucker Addington (shoulder), and tight end Seydou Traore (thumb/Achilles).
