Chopard unveils L. U. C Full Strike Día de los Muertos edition

Chopard has unveiled the 13th edition of its L. U. C Full Strike dedicated to the Mexican tradition of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This unique timepiece features a skull motif created through a combination of straw and eggshell marquetry.

The watch utilizes an 18-carat ethical rose gold case and houses the L. U. C 08. 01-L minute repeater movement. The craftsmanship involved over 160 hours of manual assembly, using more than 70 fragments of rye straw grown in France, alongside meticulously selected and hand-cut eggshell pieces to create texture and depth.

Design elements include a hand-engraved rose gold case, gilded hands, and a railway-style minute track engraved on the sapphire crystal. The piece serves as an exploration of decorative arts integrated with high-end watchmaking technical standards.
