Chopin Airport reaches halfway point in security scanner modernization

Chopin Airport in Warsaw has reached the halfway point in installing modern security scanners. Eight of the planned 15 machines are already operational in the AB security zones.

These new scanners allow passengers to carry liquids in containers of up to two liters and keep electronics inside their carry-on luggage, which is expected to reduce security queues. The modernization also includes new roller belts to increase baggage throughput. The full upgrade project, which is divided into 14 stages, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
