Choral ensembles prepare for Brahms Requiem performance

The Marienstiftskantorei Lich and the Kantorei Wetzlar held their first joint rehearsal on October 24, 2026, under the direction of Christof Becker. The two choirs are preparing for a performance of Johannes Brahms’ ‘Ein deutsches Requiem’ scheduled for November 22, 2026, at the Ev. Marienstiftskirche in Lich.

The concert will feature approximately 150 musicians, including the Kammerphilharmonie Bad Nauheim. Solo parts will be performed by soprano Nicole Tamburro and baritone Tomi Wendt. The program will also include Georg Schumann’s ‘Symphonische Variationen über Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten’ to open the evening.
