Choshu Koriki makes wrestling comeback following traffic violations

Comedian and professional wrestler Choshu Koriki made his ring comeback at the Nishiguchi DX Pro Wrestling August event in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The return follows his dismissal from Nishiguchi Pro Wrestling in May after being referred to prosecutors in April for traffic violations, including unlicensed driving and ignoring traffic signals.

During the match, Koriki faced comedian Kuro-chan from Yasuda Dai Circus. Despite verbal provocations from his opponent regarding his legal troubles, Koriki secured a victory with a lariat. Following the match, Koriki issued a formal apology to the public, expressing deep regret for his actions and describing a period of self-reflection.

Koriki noted that he has since changed his lifestyle, opting to walk or use an electric bicycle rather than driving. He credited the support of fellow entertainers, specifically mentioning encouragement from Choshu Riki, for helping him move forward. He expressed gratitude toward his former organization for the dismissal, stating it helped him reflect on his responsibilities.
