Chosun University memorializes Prof. Kim Jongjung's body donation

Kim Jongjung, an honorary professor of the College of Medicine at Chosun University, died on 13 May at age 80. In accordance with his wishes, his body was donated to the university to be used for anatomy education and research. His family contributed a development fund of 30 million won, which the university will allocate to strengthen anatomy teaching, research facilities and the construction of a new university hospital.

Kim served the medical school for 39 years (1974‑2016), was a former president of the Korean Society of Anatomy and held senior administrative posts such as chair of the Faculty Council and dean of the Graduate School of Health. His final act was presented as a “last lesson” for medical students, emphasizing respect for human life and medical ethics.
