Chou's Shrimp Rolls targeted by cockroach attack in Tainan

An unidentified man targeted the Anping flagship store of the well-known Tainan restaurant brand, Chou's Shrimp Rolls, by scattering hundreds of live cockroaches inside the premises on August 29.

According to reports, the suspect arrived on a motorcycle wearing a raincoat, helmet, and mask. After shouting insults at the staff, he emptied a bag containing over a hundred live cockroaches onto the counter and floor. The restaurant temporarily closed on August 30 to undergo professional disinfection and deep cleaning.

Local police have reviewed surveillance footage and identified a male suspect approximately 30 years old. Authorities are currently tracking his escape route and motive. The restaurant management stated that the business is operating normally and denied any existing operational or personal disputes that might have triggered the incident.
