Jewelry retailer Chow Tai Fook has rolled out more than 400 artificial‑intelligence agents, branded AI Fook, to support over 24,000 staff members. The agents help sales associates instantly retrieve product details, check inventory and generate recommendations without leaving the customer conversation, cutting hold times and streamlining internal workflows. The company reports a gain of over 70 % in process efficiency and a measurable lift in sales conversion rates.

The deployment reflects a broader retail trend: a Gartner 2026 survey found 67 % of CIOs plan to increase investment in associate‑facing generative AI. Other retailers such as Home Depot are also equipping staff with AI tools for both customer‑facing and back‑office tasks.
