CHP calls for opposition unity in municipal union elections

Republican People's Party (CHP) spokesperson Müslim Sarı has called upon the YENİ Party and the DEM Party to cooperate in the upcoming Turkey Municipalities Union (TBB) elections. The goal of this call is to reach a consensus on common candidates and council members to prevent local government bodies from falling under the control of the ruling party.

During a press conference in Adana, Sarı also addressed the Mekke Agreement, stating that it should be brought before the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to ensure transparency and legal legitimacy regarding Turkey's military responsibilities. Additionally, he criticized the current administration regarding a fund crisis, describing it as a significant issue of corruption and calling for political accountability.
