CHP denies reports of Beşikçioğlu expressing political regret

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has issued a formal denial regarding reports concerning a prison visit between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Etimesgut Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu.

Claims circulated suggesting that during the visit, Beşikçioğlu expressed regret over entering politics and stated he would leave active political life upon his release. Additionally, reports resurfaced regarding a 2014 statement made by Beşikçioğlu concerning past drug use.

CHP Press Advisor Atakan Sönmez refuted these claims, stating that the reported dialogues between Kılıçdaroğlu and Beşikçioğlu did not occur and that the content being presented to the public is baseless and does not reflect reality.
