CHP Deputy Kılıç challenges teacher relocation issues in Turkish Parliament

Sevda Erdan Kılıç, Deputy Group Chairperson of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and İzmir Deputy, has brought the issues of teachers seeking relocation to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Kılıç submitted a written parliamentary inquiry to Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin regarding the lack of provincial and district orders for teachers requesting transfers based on excused circumstances.

The inquiry highlights the difficulties faced by teachers who cannot secure appointments despite providing official documentation for family unity, health issues, or personal safety. Kılıç criticized the Ministry for accepting these excuses but failing to provide practical solutions, noting that many teachers are forced to live apart from their spouses and children or remain in locations that compromise their well-being.

Kılıç emphasized that the Constitution mandates the state to protect family unity and argued that the Ministry's norm staff planning should not result in teachers paying the price for administrative lack of planning.
