CHP Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer advocates for subcontracted workers' rights

CHP Niğde Deputy Ömer Fethi Gürer has called for addressing labor issues regarding subcontracted workers, interns, apprentices, and those facing retirement hurdles. During a press conference at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Gürer joined İbrahim Tatlı, General Secretary of the Association of Subcontracted Workers in Public Economic Enterprises, to highlight the lack of job security and low wages affecting thousands.

Gürer noted that while the 2018 Decree Law partially addressed these issues, many workers in Public Economic Enterprises (KİT) remain without permanent staff status. He stated that approximately 138,000 subcontracted workers remain in KİTs, and nearly 500,000 municipal workers lack rights regarding promotions, benefits, and transfers.
