CHP official visits elderly woman living in coal cellar

Ayten Gülsever, President of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Women's Branch, visited 87-year-old Hürü Tilki in the Kadirli district of Osmaniye. Tilki, who has no steady income, has been living in a coal cellar and attempting to make a living by selling dried mint collected by her daughter.

Gülsever highlighted the precarious living conditions and reported allegations that Tilki had been subjected to violence by her grandson. During the visit, Gülsever emphasized the responsibility of the social state to ensure citizens do not live in poverty or unsafe housing. She noted that the CHP had been coordinating with the Osmaniye provincial presidency to secure safe housing and regular income for Tilki.
