Chris Boswell sets Pittsburgh Steelers franchise field goal record
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell has set a new franchise record for most career field goals. During a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Boswell converted his 310th career field goal, surpassing the previous record held by Gary Anderson.
In the matchup, Boswell successfully converted 4 of 5 field goal attempts, including a 58-yarder and two critical kicks in the final two minutes to secure a 26-19 overtime victory. His performance helped overcome an offensive struggle, with his field goals tying the game and providing a late lead.
Boswell, who joined the Steelers in 2015, has established himself as one of the league's most consistent kickers. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and a former first-team All-Pro. He recently signed a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the team.
