Chris Carter expresses trust in Ryan Coogler's X-Files reboot

Original X-Files creator Chris Carter has revealed that he chose not to read the script for the upcoming series reboot overseen by director Ryan Coogler. Carter stated that he wants to “sit and watch it like everyone else,” a decision intended to demonstrate his confidence in Coogler’s vision for the franchise.

The new series is expected to feature Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler as two new FBI agents. While a premiere date has not yet been announced, reports indicate that production on the pilot episode concluded in July. This reboot arrives amidst a broader trend of classic horror and genre franchises receiving new iterations.
