Chris Christie warns of potential midterm losses for Republicans

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie warned that the upcoming November midterm elections could result in an “armageddon” for the Republican Party. Speaking at George Washington University, Christie suggested the GOP is facing consequences for abandoning “integrity” during Donald Trump’s second term.

Christie identified several key Senate races that could determine the party's success or failure. He noted that losing seats in Maine, New Hampshire, and Ohio would be early indicators of a difficult night for Republicans. He also highlighted Texas, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Kansas as critical states where the party has historically maintained Senate seats, though current polls show competitive races with Democratic candidates leading in some areas.

Furthermore, Christie predicted a “political shellacking” for Trump, suggesting voters may rebuke the administration due to the rising costs of groceries and gas.
