Chris Cidade Dias debuts adult fiction with new novel

Author Chris Cidade Dias, known for publishing over 50 children's books, has released her first adult novel, ‘A Mulher que Ouvia os Quadros’ (The Woman Who Heard the Paintings). The book, published by Casa de Astérion, is set in Toledo, Spain, and follows a protagonist named Clarissa who experiences sensory and emotional connections to paintings while imprisoned.

The narrative was inspired by the author's travels to Toledo and explores themes of art, memory, and the historical journey of gold arriving from the Americas. In addition to this literary transition, Dias has been named the patron of the 36th Santa Cruz do Sul Book Fair, scheduled to take place from November 6 to 15.
