Chris Evans' Avengers tattoo revealed by artist

Tattoo artist Josh Lord recently shared footage and photos of actor Chris Evans, providing a rare look at a private Avengers-themed tattoo on the actor’s upper ribcage. The ink, which features the Avengers symbol and the number six, was created in 2018 to commemorate the original core cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Several original cast members, including Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner, received matching tattoos to celebrate the conclusion of a specific era of the franchise. Mark Ruffalo was the only original member of the core group who opted out, citing a fear of needles.

The reveal comes amid rising anticipation for Evans’ return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. This marks his first major return to the role of Steve Rogers since ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Lord noted that while he keeps Evans’ other tattoos private at the actor's request, this specific glimpse was shared with the actor's authorization.
