Chris Evans discusses returning as Captain America in Avengers: Doomsday
Chris Evans has addressed his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Captain America in the upcoming film ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Speaking at the Fan Expo in Boston, Evans explained that his decision to reprise the role of Steve Rogers stems from a deep connection to the character and the narrative direction of the project.
Evans stated, “I feel very comfortable with the role. Not only do I feel comfortable, but I value it a lot. I care about the evolution of all these characters, and we wouldn't be doing this if there wasn't going to be a really interesting situation to put him in.”
The return of the character follows the conclusion of his arc in ‘Avengers: Endgame’, where the mantle was passed to Samuel Wilson. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is scheduled for global release on December 18.
