Chris Harrison responds to cease-and-desist regarding new show The Vow

Television host Chris Harrison has responded to a cease-and-desist letter from ABC regarding his new dating series, The Vow. Harrison addressed the legal tension and criticisms that the show is a knockoff of The Bachelor franchise, suggesting the move stems from jealousy.

Co-created by Harrison and his wife, Lauren Zima, The Vow features 10 women competing for the affection of 30-year-old Jace Cates. Unlike traditional reality dating formats, the series focuses on faith, communication, and long-term goals. Harrison noted that the show intentionally avoids elimination ceremonies and traditional reality TV tropes, opting instead for face-to-face breakups to maintain authenticity.

The six-episode series is scheduled to premiere on Fox Nation on November 11, with weekly episodes airing on Wednesdays through December 9.
