Chris Hemsworth closes production company Wild State
Chris Hemsworth has shuttered his production company, Wild State, four years after its founding in 2022. The company, which Hemsworth established alongside producer Ben Grayson, has seen its website go dark and its Santa Monica office prepared for vacancy.
Reports indicate that staff members have been notified they will receive compensation through the end of 2026. While the company faced a difficult period involving unsuccessful attempts to secure new partnerships, sources suggest the decision may also stem from Hemsworth’s demanding acting schedule and personal choices.
Wild State previously held a first-look deal with National Geographic for unscripted content, including the series ‘Limitless’. The company also entered a strategic partnership with Artists Equity, founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, though that collaboration ended without producing significant projects. Ongoing projects, including a narrative feature related to the Tatts Finke Desert Race, now face an uncertain future.
