Chris Jericho discusses AEW contract and WWE Hall of Fame prospects
Professional wrestler Chris Jericho has addressed his future following a new contract signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). During an appearance on TMZ’s ‘Inside The Ring’, Jericho stated he would not take it personally if his continued work with AEW impacts his chances of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Jericho emphasized that his nearly two decades of work with WWE should stand on its own merits. He acknowledged that industry politics or tribalism could influence induction decisions but noted that, after 36 years in the business, he understands how such dynamics function. He also expressed openness to a potential future AEW Hall of Fame.
Additionally, Jericho discussed his professional philosophy regarding working with promoters. He noted that longevity in wrestling comes from collaborating with bosses rather than flatly rejecting their ideas. He cited his ability to collaborate with both Tony Khan and Vince McMahon as key aspects of his career, suggesting that providing alternatives to a promoter's vision is more effective than saying ‘no’.
