Chris Jericho discusses AEW roster depth and veteran advice

Professional wrestler Chris Jericho has stated that All Elite Wrestling (AEW) no longer relies on him to anchor the company’s main event programs. Reflecting on the promotion's growth, Jericho noted that while he was essential to the main event scene during the company's early years to help establish the brand, AEW has now developed a deep roster of talent capable of leading the show.

Following a TNT Championship match loss to Kevin Knight on AEW Dynamite, Jericho expressed a desire to work with a wide variety of talent as he nears the end of his career. He also offered advice to younger wrestlers, warning against unnecessary physical risks. Drawing on lessons from veterans like Pat Patterson, Jericho emphasized that matches do not always require high-risk stunts or complex maneuvers, suggesting that simpler techniques can effectively reduce danger while maintaining quality.

Jericho expressed his willingness to accept any role assigned by AEW President Tony Khan, whether opening a show or performing in mid-card matches, citing his 36 years of experience as his primary value to the roster.
