Chris O'Neill attends Swedish parliamentary opening without translation
Chris O'Neill, husband of Princess Madeleine, attended the opening of the Swedish parliamentary year without the use of translation headphones. In previous years, O'Neill required an interpreter to follow the official speeches.
Royal Court spokesperson Margareta Thorgren confirmed that O'Neill no longer requires technical assistance because he can speak and understand Swedish. This follows the family's relocation from the United States to Stockholm in 2024.
