Chris Pratt confirms Star-Lord's return to the MCU

Actor Chris Pratt has stated that Marvel Studios is taking “concrete steps” to bring his character, Peter Quill (Star-Lord), back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 saw the original team disband, the film's final message suggested a future return for the character.

Speaking on The Playlist’s Bingeworthy podcast, Pratt confirmed he remains in regular contact with Kevin Feige and Lou D’Esposito regarding the character's future. He noted that discussions have moved beyond mere possibility into active planning to fulfill the promise made at the end of the third film.

Pratt also revealed that he has developed his own ideas for Star-Lord’s next chapter and has pitched these concepts directly to Feige. Although the actor could not disclose specific details regarding when or in which project the character will reappear, he emphasized that Star-Lord is not leaving the MCU.
